Machine A:

- Rate per minute: $\(\frac{100}{75}=\frac{4}{3}\)$ widgets per minute
- Rate per hour ( 60 minutes): $\(\frac{4}{3} \times 60=80\)$ widgets per hour
Machine B:
- 75 widgets in 50 minutes
- Rate per minute: $\(\frac{75}{50}=1.5\)$ widgets per minute
- Rate per hour (60 minutes): $\(1.5 \times 60=90\)$ widgets per hour
Combined rate:
- $\(80+90=170\)$ widgets per hour

C. 170
