Hi,
I have completed B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation with a CGPA of 8.59 from WBUT. Currently I am working in a global IT company for the past 4 and a half years as a software developer. Although my undergrad. course was different, I have now planned to pursue Computer Science. I do not have any research background but I have received awards for my performance in my company. I am worried if that is going to be a problem for me in choosing decent universities in USA. Please help me!
Thanks,
Koulick.
Hi Koulik89,
It is true that you have work experience different from your background and research programs in Computer Science Department do ask for a CS background. A good way to figure out is by asking the international admissions office and or professors of your prospective college. This information is usually present in the Admission requirements section.
I would recommend that just as a safety option keep a couple of master of Software Engineering programs in your list as well. Another good option might be MEng Programs in Canada. They have less stringent entry requirements compares to MS programs in USA.
