Anyways, the way question can be tackled is...
Take the total number to be 100, so the % are converted in exact number. You can do this here as we are looking for average of all, so their avearage will depend on their ratio/%s.
Also, we are told that each group works for the upper end of hours, so 0-15 means the person in that range work for 15 hrs.

Ok.. So we have following information..
Hrs ----- % - number - hrs working - total
0-15 ----- 7% ----- 7 --- 15 ------- 105
15-25 --- 15% --- 15 --- 25 ------- 375
25-35 --- 25% --- 25 --- 35 ------- 875
35-40 --- 45% --- 45 --- 40 ------- 1600
>50 --- -- 8% ----- 8 --- 65 ---- --- 520

Thus total hours worked = 105+375+875+1600+520=3475 hrs
Total number of persons = 100
so average = \(\frac{3475}{100}\)=34.75 hrs

Now, here is my main questions, Why are we taking total number of employees as 100? The graph already says 6000 employees were surveyed. But either way, I am following the method stated- multiplying the number of employees with hours and summing them up and dividing that sum by 6000. I am getting the answer as 70. I can't figure out what I am doing is wrong.

Also, 45*40=1800

Ofcourse the figure you have attached does not mention that the total is 6000, so I took it as 100.
Having said that it really does not make any difference 100 or 6000, because we are dealing with %.
say I took 6000 that is 100*60, so each answer should be multiplied by 60
Hrs ----- % - number - hrs working - total
0-15 ----- 7% ----- 7*60 --- 15 ------- 105*60
15-25 --- 15% --- 15*60 --- 25 ------- 375*60
25-35 --- 25% --- 25*60 --- 35 ------- 875*60
35-40 --- 45% --- 45*60 --- 40 ------- 1800*60
>50 --- -- 8% ----- 8*60 --- 65 ---- --- 520*60

Thus total hours worked = 105*60+375*60+875*60+1600*60+520*60=3675*60 hrs
Total number of persons = 100*60
so average = \(\frac{3675*60}{100*60}=\frac{3675}{100}\)=36.75 hrs

So the answer is C.
Thanks for pointing out the typo.
I have just seen the explanation and it requires a bit of correction and the same would be done.

Who uploaded the graph made it wrong because of key information to solve the question is missing.

The wording at the bottom that the total of company' workers are 6000 unit

The range 0-15 hours represent the 7% of the entire hours worked at the company. Of the 6000 employees, the 7% is 420 workers. Assuming that they work 15 hours, we do have 420*15 = 6300 men/hours worth of work. So, additional hours are taken by the other 5580 people. Therefore, everyone has to take up 1.12 hours more per person.

Question 1:

As per the chart, we are given there are total 6000 workers.
The question has given the detail that each worker worked for maximum hours. And the workers in the range 50 and above hours worked for 65 hours.
Based on the chart:

8% of 6000 constitute workers from 50 and above, so the total number of workers can be calculated as (8*6000)/100=480
Total number of hours worked by the 480 workers = (480)(65) = 31200

45% of 6000 workers worked for 35-40 hours, so the number of workers who fall under this range is calculated by (45*6000)/100=2700
Total number of hours worked by 2700 workers = (2700)(40) = 108000

25% of 6000 workers worked for 25-35 hours, so the number of workers who fall under this range can be calculated by (25*6000)/100=1500
Total number of hours worked by 1500 workers = (1500)(35) = 52500

15% of 6000 workers worked for 15-25 hours, so the number of workers who fall under this range can be calculated by (15*6000)/100=900
Total number of hours worked by 900 workers = (900)(25) = 22500

7% of 6000 workers worked for 0-15 hours, so the number of workers who fall under this range can be calculated by (7*6000)/100=420
Total number of hours worked by 420 workers = (420)(15) = 6300

Average = (31200+108000+52500+22500+6300)/6000=36.75

Question 2:

25% of 6000 workers worked for 25-35 hours, so the number of workers who fall under this range can be calculated by (25*6000)/100=1500
Total number of hours worked by 1500 workers= (1500)(30) = 45000
Average salary = 675000/1500=450

I did not understand Question 3:

Why is there 36,2? We have found that it is 1,12. The Question asks "What is the average hours increase", it means 1,12 not 36,2.

Plz see the highlighted text. If we re phrase the highlighted text as among other workers - Then we can have the answer

Because 0 - 15 groups work for 15 hours and total work is 0.07 * 6000 * 15 = 6300

From 6000 people 420 people were let go, remaining = 5580 people.

Now 6300 total work is divided among 5580 equally, so each workers need to add 1.12 hours extra (6000/5580 = 1.12)

As the workers were working for 35 hours, now each of them have to work for 1.12 hours extra and total will be 36.12

**** Average hour increase = 1.12 hours, presently the workers in the group 35 -40 works for 36.12 hours
