Question:
25 Employees donated a total of $450 to charity. If 15 employees donated at least $12 and 9 employees donated at least $19, what is the maximum amount, in dollars, that the last employee could have donated?
Since you want to maximize the last employees contributions, minimize everyone else's. If 15 employees donated at least $12 and 9 employees donated at least $19: 15(12)+9(19) = 180+171=351
