Solution:
Total Residents= 4800
Total Student Residents= \(\frac{1}{4}\)*4800=1200
\(\frac{1}{3}\)rd student residents are reduced, leaving us with \(\frac{2}{3}\)rd=\(\frac{2}{3}\)*1200=800 Students
Thus 400 students are reduced from the total residents.
Hence, Current Student residents/Total residents=\(\frac{800}{4400}\)=\(\frac{2}{11}\)

Of the 4800 residents of an apartment complex, 1/4 are college students.
1/4 of 4800 = 1200
So, there are 1200 college students, and the remaining 3600 residents are NOT college students
Suppose the number of college students is reduced by 1/3.
1/3 of 1200 = 400
So, the number of college students remaining = 1200 - 400 = 800
If no other changes occur, what portion of the total remaining residents are college students?
The number of residents remaining = 3600 + 800 = 4400
Since 800 of those remaining 4400 residents are college students, the answer = 800/4400 = 8/44 = 2/11
Answer: B
