In 1st line, "As a result" implies "Constant/More combat = bigger Jaw"... We can also extrapolate from here "Lesser combat= smaller Jaw"

2nd line tells, Necessity decreased for combat, Hence, According to our extrapolation, The size of Jaw also should be reduced."

Since "Reduced" is given as choice. So we don't need to cross check other options. That's a pretty easy one.
