From Monday to Tuesday, stock A went up 10 points, from a value of 10 to a value of 20. Relative to its initial value of 10, this is an increase of 10/10=1=100%
From Tuesday to Wednesday, stock A went up 15 points from 20 to 35, an increase of 15/20=75%
From Wednesday to Thursday, the stock went down 10 points from a base of 35, a change of -10/35 = 29% (approximately)
From Thursday to Friday, the stock went up 5 points from 25, a change of 5/25=20%
Thus, the percentage change from Monday to Tuesday was greater than over all the other time periods.
