On a test I have seen an exercise like the following one. It was an exercise in the Data Interpretation section.
"A survey about leisure activities has been conducted in country X in year Y. Here is a table with the percentage of people who indicated that they participate in the respective activity.
Activity:
Running: 80%
Swimming: 46%
Cycling: 40%
Shooting: 14%
Of the people, who were Swimming and Cycling, 30% indicated that they engage in both activities. If 30% do both, how much percent of people do only one or the other?"
I have problems solving this, especially since I didn't see how many people participated in the survey. Any ideas?
Best,
Zamala
