Key here is recalling when to multiply the probability of each event and when to add them: With events that are "AND", we must multiply; with events that are "OR", we must add.

On a die, there are 3 odd numbers and 3 even numbers.
The first roll's chances for an odd is 3/6, the second is also 3/6, and third is 3/6. Since 3/6 simplifies to 1/2, we use 1/2 · 1/2 · 1/2 = 1/8. 1/8 is Choice D.
