\(\frac{617}{49} = 12.5918\)

The tens digit is 1. The tenths digit is 5. The answer is 1 + 5 = 6.

C is the answer.

PS: not a good question. On the GRE you will never see a question about a pure division, basically. This is a question to brush your rusty computation skills at most.

I think no.

The only thing you can do to speed up the process is to approximate

\(\frac{62}{49}=\frac{124}{100}=1.25 \approx = 1.25\)

\(5+1=6\)
