Her rate of work is 15/15 = 1 shovel per second. In three minutes = 180 seconds she'll shovel 180*1=180.

We can also solve this question with some number sense
GIVEN: The champion can achieve 15 shovel-fulls every 15 seconds
So, the champion can achieve 30 shovel-fulls every 30 seconds [if we DOUBLE the shoveling time, we DOUBLE the output]
AND the champion can achieve 60 shovel-fulls every 60 seconds [if we DOUBLE the shoveling time, we DOUBLE the output]
In other words, the champion can achieve 60 shovel-fulls every 1 MINUTE
So, the champion can achieve 180 shovel-fulls every 3 MINUTE [if we TRIPLE the shoveling time, we TRIPLE the output]
Answer: D
