Let's pick, the dia of the front wheel is 2. So, dia of the rear wheel is 6.And the perimeter of the front wheel=πd=2π, which is the distance it covers in one revolution.
It made 42 revs, so a total distance of 42*2π=84π
Now, they are the wheels of the same car. So, if front wheel covers 84π, the rear wheel also covers that distance.
The rear wheel covers 6π distance per revolution. So, to cover 84π distance, it requires 84π/6π= 14 revs
