why did u divide both? can u explain again because the area of the sector formula is pi*r^2Q/360 right?

Let the radius of bigger circle be r

Area of sector OABC = Area of circle with centre M =\( \pi (r/3)ˆ2 = \pi rˆ2/9\) = Area of bigger circle /9
Degree measure of \(∠AOC\) = 360/9 = 40

nr^2x/360=n(r/3)^2
x/360=1/9
x=40
