The sentence does not have many clues indeed

However, always put you like you were in the situation at stake

Now, if you were the professor and got in and gave the lecture and ran away without a single word and did not give the students to ask anything about you, you certainly could be upset, but we do not know this; we do not have any information about your status.

Instead the logic consequence of this is that you are mute or taciturn. Considering that all the answer choices but A and C are not feasible

A is the answer

Let's analyze each option in the context of the sentence:

Blank (i) A. **Taciturn:** Taciturn refers to being reserved in speech and not inclined to conversation. If the lecturer left the room without asking for questions, the term "taciturn" fits, indicating a lack of verbal interaction.

Blank (i) B. **Effusive:** Effusive describes someone who expresses emotions or sentiments in an unrestrained or overflowing manner. This doesn't align with the lecturer leaving without asking for questions.

Blank (i) C. **Indignant:** Indignant refers to being angry or annoyed at perceived unfair treatment. There is no indication in the sentence that the lecturer left in an angry or offended manner.

Blank (i) D. **Despondent:** Despondent implies being in low spirits or feeling hopeless. This emotional state doesn't seem to fit the situation described after the presentation.

Blank (i) E. **Malevolent:** Malevolent means having an evil or harmful intent. This strong negative connotation doesn't align with the neutral act of leaving without asking for questions.

In the context of the sentence, "taciturn" (A) is the most fitting term. It suggests the lecturer left without engaging in further conversation or inquiry, aligning with the behavior described in the sentence.
