SOURCE : Gre Book 1 from Jamboree
Let the salaries of William and Kim be $w and $k respectively
William's salary after hike = 110% of 120% of w = $(1.1 x 1.2 x w)
Kim's salary after hike = 110% of k = $1.1k
Since William's salary is now 3/5 of Kim:
1.1 x 1.2 x w = 3/5 x 1.1k
=> 5 x 1.2w = 3k
=> k = 2w
Difference between their salaries = k - w = w = 30000
=> k = 60000
=> New salary of Kim = 1.1k = $66000
