NOTE: The second sentence provides no relevant information, since the two quantities only require us to know about the first half.
All we know about the first half is that team X scored 10 points.
Since team Y could have scored ANY NUMBER of points in the first half (2, 10, 5 million, etc.) , there's no way to determine which quantity is greater.
