x^2 + x - 6 < 0
(x - 2) (x + 3) < 0
This means the 2 terms are of opposite signs.
Case 1
x - 2 < 0
x < 2
Case 2
x + 3 > 0
x > -3
Therefore
-3 < x < 2
Possible values
-2, -1, 0 and 1
