b − c + a > b + c + a
− c + a > c + a
− c > c
0 > 2c
c < 0
The second inequality simplifies to:
c − b − a < c + b − a
−b − a < b − a
−b < b
0 < 2b
b > 0
Because b is positive and c is negative, b must be larger. Therefore, Quantity A is greater.
