Explanation

You need answers that relate to being beginners (or at least not “masters”). Fledgling and novice both mean “inexperienced.”

Hence options fledgling, novice are correct!

We need a choice that means not experienced or skilled. Which is fledgling and novice.

It seems a bit ambiguous, could you explain why the context should indicate inexperience ?
It could also indicate that the field trip was arranged so that this troupe of dancer (who are seasoned and expert) could observe the real masters of their art (to learn more, what they are lacking etc.)

The last part so that they can observe real master of their art --> They still do not know the real master.
Looking at the options we saw Fledgling = beginner, it fits.
Checking for the other synonyms yes we have novice.

Hence, BE is the Answer.

Meaning- Because the group of dancers are observing the real masters, the group consists of amateurs or inexperienced folk.

A- Seasoned here means experienced. Opposite to what we want.
B- Fledgling means inexperienced. Correct choice.
C- Expert means having great skill. Opposite to what we want.
D- Torpid means lethargic or inactive. Illogical in context.
E- Novice means beginner. Correct and good pair for fledgling.
F- Lithe means agile. Theme trap here associated with dancers but in retrospect irrelevant.

A field trip would arranged for the troupe to observe the real masters of their art, only if the troupe consisted of people who were not masters of their art.

Fledgling and novice are the correct choices.

Because the dancers are going to observe the “real masters of their art,” they themselves are not masters. “Fledgling” and “novice” both mean inexperienced. “Seasoned” and “expert” form a pair, in agreement with “real masters” but opposite the blank in meaning. “Torpid,” which means sluggish, might describe novice dancers, but can’t be correct because it doesn’t have a match. Similarly “lithe,” which means supple and graceful, is a great word for describing dancers, but lacks a match
