Hi all, I’m confused with the following question so further explanation
Is appreciated :
If 4x-12≥x+9, which of the following must be true?
(A) X>6
(B) X<7
(C) X>7
(D) X>8
(E) X<8
My answer is C and D ,,, but the book’s answer is A
I see that x>6 could be 6.5 so it’s not true and he didn’t
mention it’s an integer in the question. So C,D must be true.
Am I wrong ?
And does the question which of the following must be true point
To selecting one answer or it is possible to select multiple answers?

It asks for \(4x-12 \geq x+9\)
Now \(3x \geq 21\) ; \(x \geq 7\)
X is greater than 7 OR equal to seven. Of the answer choices, B and E are not good.
A. \(x > 6\) this is the right answer
C. \(x > 7\) this is wrong because is true that \(x > 7\) BUT also equal to seven
D. \(x > 8\) this is also wrong because it says that x >8 and as it turns out does not take in account the values prior 8.

But if X is greater or equal to 7, how can we choose x>6 as the right answer. There is a infinity of number between the numbers 6 and 7, and x can at least be 7 not below.
