Issue # 2. Government must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive because it is primarily in cities that a nation’s cultural traditions are presented and generated.
Culture unites people with same moral code, aesthetic value, and belief to form a society. the above statement argue there is a relationship between cultural and major cites.A financial aid from the central government would arguably stimulate the growth of the urban area;however, culture is a multifaceted object. A financial penchant that thrive one dimension may inhibit culture's progress in other dimensions.
Through out history, many culture progress as a byproduct of the development of large cities. One great example would be Shakespeare's famous plays. The surge of interest in theater plays a influential role for Shakespeare's work. The economic success in urban area obliquely institute a growth in the entertainment industry at that time. Many youth like Shakespeare's work in such industry and influenced by it. Without such exposure, classic play as Macbeth and Othello would never be born because both of them are base on the prior plays written by foreign playwright.
Financial support may create a beneficial environment for artist who participate in entertainment industry, which might influence heavily on culture's aesthetic value.
Although there are potential benefit for such subsidy, it cannot be ignored that country also contribute to culture. For instance, country music and movie regarding early western development in U.S.A impact countless musicians, directors, and even game developers. A uneven distribution of central government subsidy on urban may exacerbate the already uneven population distribution between cities and countrysides in U.S.A, endanger the bucolic side of American culture.
In conclusion, a financial subsidy may play a beneficial role to improve culture value. However, the subsidy must be well-thought in order to preserve the diversity of culture.
