Isn't quixotic(A plan that is unrealistic and are not practical) a related word for illusory(Seems to be real but it is not i.e unrealistic)

this is also what I believe

Carcass could you explain why illusory isn't the right choice?

Ok. The sentence is not that difficult but the answers are tricky

We could translate the sentence as follow: he believed that the only factor needed to write a great novel is time. However, he after realized that even with time on his side would be UNrealistic or futile to waste much time writing his composition. Simply because you need way more than time as factor to write great stuff

Considering that was unrealistic or not practical to come to a decent result, then is idealist it is just an idea you have in mind to write something good but it is not the reality. The only pair with b alike meaning is F

Now In my view illusory could be suitable but he does not have another word among the answer choices. This is the only way to dismiss that word.

I hope this helps
