Given 40 ounce mix = Apple juice + seltzer
Now 40 ounces contain 30% apple juice i.e. 12 ounce and seltzer will be 28 ounces.
We are told that 10 more ounces of apple juice ( 100% ) is added to mixture, then total mixture will be 50 ounces.
We want seltzer percentage in the total juice and since only 100% apple juice is added, seltzer concentration doesn't get affected.
So. 28 / 50 => 0.56
D.
