Yes, it's true that the RC takes the most effort and the longest to improve. I've found that my RC score has improved since I started using GrePrepClub. However, as Carcass stated, the thing that has helped me the most is advanced academic material. I've been doing this by reading academic journal articles that are related to my areas of interest, such as as health and archaeology, and it's made a real difference. I also try to do at least one RC passage each day, just to keep my mind limber!
The other REALLY important thing is to stay calm and focused. This is one of the things that the GRE tests, your mental focus and discipline. You need both for graduate studies. So, work on your mind set and staying calm and focused along with improving your language.
I found that setting the stopwatch made me feel nervous, so I just set an online stopwatch and hide the window, and then do the questions. However, in the beginning, I did it without any timer and just focused on getting the strategies down that work for me. Try to do this for at least a coouple of weeks before you time yourself!
Good luck!
