No, they are in different triangle here.

Now, if we simply had the little box showing that the angle formed with the base was a right angle, then I'm confident we could say the segments are equal because segments an equal distance away formed by equal size angles should be equal.

Since we don't have that, based on Brent's illustration, we can't make that conclusion are any definite conclusion about the segment sizes.
