This is more of a tactical recommendation: if you see a certain path to a correct answer - use it! Even if you think deploying the calculator might be a bit time consuming, working through these five products with the terrible calculator will not take more than the 1:45 per question allocated by the exam and is a sure-fire way to get the correct answer. So, just methodically test the five options:
a) 6.00 × 0.20 = 1.2
b) 6.01 × 0.19 = 1.1419
c) 6.02 × 0.18 = 1.0836
d) 6.03 × 0.17 = 1.0251
e) 6.04 × 0.16 = 0.9664
Never sacrifice accuracy for time. Test the choices with the calculator and confidently select choice A.
