so we can write 1.25*10^4=12500
now 12500*0.6=7500
now we can write 7500 = 7.5*10^3
so answer choice C is the answer.

Think logically to save time by only doing necessary calculations. Since every choice is in powers of 10, take 0.6 of 1.25 first and then just compare.
0.6 x 1.25 = 0.75. So, 0.75 x 10^4 which is equivalent to 7.5 x 10^3. Select Choice C.
