Here,
Person cannot be fraction,
If no. of senior = 1 then no. of juniors = 7 and the total no. of People in the room = 8
Now, check the options that is divisible by 8, only option D is divisible by 8 and is the answer.
Moreover,
Let the no. of seniors = X
and no. of juniors = 7X
Total no. of people = T
therefore,
X + 7X = T
or 8X = T
or X = \(\frac{T}{8}\)
Hence, the total no. of people should be divisible by 8
