It says, the bonobos are more friendly than chimps. But when safety of group involved, they try to expel or scare those whose presence may harm the group.
For POE-
1. patronize- Doesn't mean expel or scare. Eliminate
2. Imperil- Bonobos doesn't have any intention to destroy. So eliminate.
3. Oust- To outcast, I guess. So Hold.
4. Jeopardize- Same as 2.Bonobos is friendly, so I guess they won't do this.
5. Safeguard- Blank should be opposite of friendly. Eliminate.
6. Ostracize- Don't know the meaning- So hold.
So I believe only Oust and Ostracize satisfy the blank. So I will choose them. I feel imperil and jeopardize are trap answers.
