Second worker finishes 5 min earlier and in those 5 min difference every hour,
he/she makes 16 more parts than first does in 8 hours.
In 8 hours, the second worker made = 16/8 = 2 parts in 5 min every hour
If second worker produces 2 parts every 5 min,
then he/she produces = 60 /5 * 2 = 24 parts
The first worker produces = 24 - 16 = 18 parts
Total parts produced = 24+18 = 32 parts
Hence, B is the answer.
The second worker did not produce 16 parts in 8 hours, which means it will produce more than 2 parts every hour. Secondly, the 5 minutes is the time difference in producing one part between first and second worker so it could not be that 2 parts are produced in 5 minutes every hour. Did I miss something please?
