I decided to fill the third blank first. "Yet" introduced after the third blank is a contrast word.
I focused on the words - carefully and artfully crafted.
Sentences to the left of yet must convey the opposite idea: artfully constructed is opposite of artfully crafted.
Similarly, the third blank must convey opposite of carefully - not so carefully.
Then I went to the first blank.
From the last sentence, we know that his poems were carefully and artfully crafted.
So, the first blank must convey the similar idea. I thought a word - remarkable.
Then I look at he second blank.
He has written on vibrant folk culture of Black people. And, especially and predictably lead me to guess that the second blank must convey the similar meaning. I chose the word - identifiable.
Let's look at the options.
The first blank is clearly option C. The closest one to remarkable.
In the second blank, I don't know what option F means. Option E, resemble is a verb, but we need adjective. I found option D, distinctive, very close to identifiable.
For the third blank, well-prepared is opposite of what we are looking. I don't know what acrimonious means. Option H, impromptu can be the word for not so carefully.
Therefore, C,D, and H is the answer.
