If no information is available about the value of the integers in the set, we cannot draw conclusions about the relationship between mean and median. Indeed, if the integers are normally distributed, mean and median coincide; if not, mean and median can be reciprocally greater or lower than the other.

Let's examine 2 possible cases:
CASE 1:
Set S = {0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0}
Here, the median = 0, and the mean of the lowest and the highest term = (0+0)/2 = 0, in which case the two quantities are equal.
CASE 2:
Set S = {0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1}
Here, the median = 0, and the mean of the lowest and the highest term = (0+1)/2 = 0.5, in which case the two quantities are NOT equal.
