Given: x is y percent of x²
We can write: x = y/100 of x²
Or: x = (y/100)(x²)
Multiply both sides by 100 to get 100x = yx²
Divide both sides by x to get 100 = yx
IMPORTANT: We're told that x and y are INTEGERS greater than 5.
So, the ONLY way to get a product of 100 such that x and y are positive integers is for x and y to BOTH equal 10
We get:
QUANTITY A: 10
QUANTITY B: 10
Answer: C

Kindly explain why we can't do the following.
From
100 = xy
we can also write
100/y = x
Now if we plug the above value in Column A then we get
Col A----------------Col B
100/y----------------10
100/10----------------y
10----------------y
Since y>5 so answer should be D.
What's wrong here.
