\(a > 0\) & \(b < 0\)
\(|a + 5| = 7 \)
\(a + 5 = ±7\) so \(a = 2\) or \(-12\)
But \(a\) is \(+ve\) so \(a = 2\)
\(|b - 2| =3 \)
\(b - 2 = ±3\) so \(b = 5\) or \(-1\)
But \(b\) is \(-ve\) so \(b = -1\)
\(a - b = 2 - (-1) = 3\)
Answer 3
