To find the median for the 60 students, we want to find the average of the number of applications submitted by students #30 and #31. In this case, both students #30 and #31 are in Class B, which means, according to the table, the median is 8.

Carcass the question never says that classrooms A, B and C are sorted in the order of increasing or decreasing number of applications, so how can we assume that classroom B will be in the middle hence 30 and 31 will be from it?
