Hey Nick
I am sorry to hear about your bad experience with GRE. I can totally relate to you, where you get less score than the desired one.
There are no. of reasons for it. But as you have mentioned that you were not efficient with the time.
For the verbal section, managing the timing is much more important. But what actually bothers me is your quant score. Q156 suggests that you really are lacking in fundamentals. And believe me, scoring Q165 is much easier than scoring the same in Verbal.
As you have said, you have 25 days till the next one, I suggest you go through this post:
https://gre.myprepclub.com/forum/regarding ... tml#p89790Carcass has explained the whole path very neatly. I'm sure if you follow this, you will off to a great score.
One thing is certain as far as time management in GRE is concerned - No question deserves more than 100-110 seconds(at most 120 sec. in some) in the test, if you are doing it more than that you are digging your own grave.
Also after 10 days, you will be able to see a diagnostic report, where you will be able to see the mistakes and the timing management during the test. Study it carefully and if possible post it here, we will guide you.
Please let us know if we can help you with anything. Wishing you all the best for your next one.
Regards,
R
