Re: Preparation for the first round of admissions for the Fall'23 term [#permalink]

Greetings,

I had one question: if one is targeting Fall 2023 for the MS admissions, then what should be the time in 2022 when the individual should be ready with the GRE test scores, LORs, SOPs, and everything. I have heard that round 1 of admissions would begin by Oct'22, one should be ready by September'2022. Is that the proper timeline that should be followed for a smooth application process without any hassle?

Secondly, what are the disadvantages one entails while applying in the second round of admissions which begins in January every year for the following fall term?

Hi keyush06,

The timeline stated by you is correct.

Chances of admission tend to fall in subsequent rounds; thus, Round 3 will be even worse off in terms of chances of admission in comparison to R2; however, if you do not attain your target score before R1, for some reason, you can opt to apply in R2.

All the best!
