Thus, if X is positive, B is always positive. But, A can be both.

Hence, D is the answer choice

Quantity A shall never be negative because its enclosed within a modulus.

You arrived at the right answer (D) out of fortune, as both the quantities can be zero if X is set to zero, but both the quantities can differ (Quantity A being bigger) if X is non-zero, hence the answer is D.
