A is X +Y < 0 wich means that x = 25 and Y= -10 so 15 > 0 but Y is < 0 or the other way around
B is Y - X > 0 wich means that Y > 0 and X < 0 with still hold that our quantity is > 0 or the other way around.
In both cases Y could be > 0 or < 0 so you do not have enough info to say if Y is positive or negative. As such. The answer is D

Thanks so much for the help. I have edited it to include the source. Also I can do a better job naming the topic and ensuring I include the source for all of the questions. Your clarification makes perfect sense and makes it a lot easier. For this question, I tried to solve it a different way.
The steps I took to try to solve this were this:
STEP 1: I multiplied the second inequality by -1 to ensure both have the same sign.
-1 * ( Y - X > 0) which will give you (-Y + X) < 0
STEP 2: LINE UP THE EQUATIONS AND ADD ( I DECIDED TO ADD THE EQUATIONS. This is where I'm struggling, does it matter if we add or subtract? I assumed NOO??)

- X - Y < 0

Y < 0 ANSWER B
( WHY IS THIS INCORRECT? CAN WE SOLVE THIS BY DOING WHAT I DID. The solution suggest that we multiply the top inequality by -1. However, I chose to multiply the bottom and then subtract instead of add. If you were to add you would get

+ X - Y < 0
