Hi everyone. Actually i took GRE exam 2-3 days back, got good marks in verbal but my quantitative score is not so good. And i have already used magoosh and princeton and didnt see any major improvement in score. now i am thinking of taking gre for a second time. So, i am looking for a private tutor for gre quantative, who is familier with gre maths difficulty level and also help me with basics. If anyone know someone like that please let me know.other advices are also welcome. TIA

How was your scores during your practice tests. Did you identify some areas of weakness?



Having a good idea of you weakness can greatly enhance your performance.

While taking practice test, i used to score above 155, 2-3 times 160+ too, but in my actual gre exam i scored, 148 in quantitative. and i was feeling (even during exam) that questions were very difficult as compared to all the practice test( gave 3 magoosh, 8 princeton, 1 manhattan, 2 ets powerprep). i am weak at charts questions, probability, distance and time usually but on exam day i was finding everything quite difficult. I don't know how to start preparation for the second time, i feel saturated. i don't know which all test should i practice now which matches actual exam's difficulty.

i understand the feeling saturated. From your description it feels like you had trouble on the exam day. This is mostly to do with test taking ability rather than simple practice. I would suggest practice taking exams in the exam condition, i.e. sit for 5 sections at a streach. This way you can emulate the stress that builds up during the test.
