To evalaute the argument that more investment should be done in unmanned space flights, one should understand the economics of the unmanned space flights. Unmanned space flights , for sure, eliminates the need for humans but what goes in on developing the function required by Unmanned space and the associated cost. Is that cost cheaper than employing humans? Not just that it is important to understand if all the missions can be done without humans or some human supervision is required for a particular mission say analyzing or conduting a test of soil right away on surface of mars wherein the unmanned space flight might not be able to do that.

Human Life is of prime importance and thus it is a compelling arguement to invest more in the unmanned space flights but it is also important to understand the casusalities of the manned space flight , associated risks etc. While it may be true that manned space flights posses a danger to life but the odds of dieing in a space expedition might be less than the odds of dieing in a car accident.

We need to crtically analyze the data and the success of the unmanned flights and if similiar can be accomodated , the data associated with the unmanned flights for e.g how many unmanned flights are sucessful in past and the time required for a similar expedition. If the answers are in favor , it is likely that the unmanned space flights could be a disruption in aeronautics.

If the assumptions of the arguement are not warranted for eample if Manned space flight turns out to be relatively safe and economical , there shouldn't be any reason one should spend heavily on unmanned flights. Not to mention , the loss of jobs associated by spending on the unmanned flights which will make redundant the workforce associated with Manned flights.

If the data related to succesful operation of manned flights is too scant to determine if the Unmnaned space flights could actually be considered as success , investing based on recent few sucesses would be disastrous and will not yield results effecting the missions.
