The side opposite to the largest angle is the longest side of the triangle

SO here AB is the longest side and the angle opposite to the side AB is angle C

So, QTY A < QTY B

Opposite of largest side has largest angle.

Here's one where it helps to draw. Draw it out and know the rule mentioned above and you're good to go.

The concept being tested is that there is a relationship between the length of the sides of a triangle and the angles opposite to them. The angles opposite to the largest and the smallest sides are correspondingly the largest and the smallest angles in the triangle.

Thus angle C is opposite to side AB=12 is larger than angle A opposite to side BC=5

But there is no mathematical relationship between the sides and the angles. We can only be sure, that larger the side, the greater the opposite angle.
