If you draw a line across the shape to form 2 triangles, let the base of side 10 be y and the lenght of the dividing line be a
10 + 10 > a
10 - 10 < 0
0< a < 20
For the othe other triangle
9 + 1 > a
9 - 1 < a
8 < a < 10
Which now means that a is between 8 and 10 so angle x < y
From the first triangle
x + 2y = 180
y = -x/2 + 90
From the linear equation, we know that when y is reduced by 1, x increases by 2.
Now we start from 60 that is Quantity B
Notice that x and y can be 60 from the equation.
Since x is less than y then x is less than 60
Answer is B.
