Explanation

The given inequality is equivalent to \(3x - 27 < 11x - 2\), which becomes \(-8x < 25\).

Dividing both sides by –8 (and flipping the inequality sign), you get \(x > \frac{-3}{8}\).

Therefore, any number that is greater than -3 \(\frac{-3}{8}\) will satisfy the inequality, so the greatest integer that
does not satisfy it is \(x = -4\), choice (A).

can not we multiply the whole 5x-2 with (1-3x) ?

We cannot multiply 5x-2 with (1-3x) unless it is in the form (1-3x)(5x-2).

We need to pay attention to the brackets.
