Warming in the Antarctic Ocean, believed to result from increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere, is melting glaciers in Antarctica. Ice is slowly sliding off the continent, collecting iron from the underlying bedrock before dissolving in the surrounding seas.
