If its a question created by Magoosh then it is quite possible that they have used it in their GMAT Prep materials as well.

But I mean...is that...I don't know how to describe it, but "weird?" I thought they were different exams?

Well, apparently they are different but at the core they test your abilities and skills in the same fashion.

How many time you tackle an inference question or weaken in a GRE passage or during a CR Gmat question ?? the same.

How many times you did a geometry question or sequence one on both exam ?' the same.

Even SE and Sentence correction are similar: in the first one you need to fill the blank with one, two or three words that are alike in meaning. In Sentence correction you need to insert a word or a piece of sentence or an entire sentence, rearranging it, having the same meaning of the original sentence.

At the core, they are quite similar as test.

Hope this helps

There is considerable overlap (~ 90% to 95%) when it comes to the quant topics on the GMAT and GRE. That said, the only question TYPE they share are the multiple choice questions with 5 answer choices.
