Given: Scores on standardized Exam X are normally distributed with mean 500 and standard deviation 100.
So, our normal distribution looks like this:
At this point, we can see that 16% of the values are greater than 600
So, Quantity A = 16%
Given: Scores on standardized Exam Y are normally distributed with mean 21 and standard deviation 5.
So, our normal distribution looks like this:
At this point, we can see that 2% of the values are greater than 31
So, Quantity B = 2%
Since Quantity A > Quantity B, the correct answer is A
