I missed this one just because the inequality. "Silly one :)"
Here we are asked to find value of x, given that (7+9+x)/3>9. the average of the three numbers are >9.
Ok multiply each side by 3 ==> 16+x>27 ==> x>11.
To have an average> 9, x must have a value greater than 11.
Answer is (A)
