Intuitively, the idea is to notice that 105 is right between 120 and 90, and that would be if there were an equal number of scores that also got 90. But this is not the case here, as there are more of the smaller number, and hence the average is less than 105.
Formally, the average would be ((120*10) + (90*20))/30 = (1200 + 1800)/30 = 100 < 105 -> answer is B.
