Hi,
(w^2+x)/3
w is the width of the insole in centimeters --->3 centimeters
x is the grade of rubber on a scale of 1 to 9.
Substituting w=3
(3^2+x)/(3) =(9+x)/3
Now we need x to be a multiple of 3, because we need the sum of the numerator to be divisible by 3 and the greatest possible number is 9
(9+9)/3) =(18/3) =6
IMO D
